THE TUSKS OF WRATH
The Blood and Steel Saga
#Book 3
"As the sun faded on the horizon, the apocalypse came from the sea..."
The City of the Sun lies in turmoil. With the traitorous Alderbane dead and a new Governess elected, General Cavara takes the helm as Sevica's commander-in-chief, facing an armada approaching the City at the behest of the Iron Queen. Against their warships, she leads a rudimentary fleet out onto the waves, hoping to destroy the Tarrazi aggressors so she can finally return home.
But it is not a home like the one she remembers. Casantri lies besieged by rebels, and the once-mighty Alvarez clings to power as civil war ignites. With the imperial army in full retreat in Tarraz, and the covetous General Revek undermining the regime, the home Cavara dreams of is tearing itself apart, desperate for an end to its woes.
And it is an end that will come with the clash of steel, and the blood of many thousands, in a war of gods and men alike - taken, by the Tusks of Wrath...
“The end is nigh,” he exclaimed, tonguing his gums. “Your paranoid delusions shall cease, as your life spills across these tarnished stones…”
This book was a journey. A momentous, painful, fulfilling journey. One-thousand pages - almost 300,000 words - and the largest book I have ever written. There are epic naval battles; trench warfare and siege weapons; ethereal magicks and otherworldly forces clawing for hegemony of the world. I love this book, and it sits as one of the highlights of my writing career so far.
