This book is something of a mystery, in that it was never supposed to exist. This is book 2.5 of the Blood and Steel Saga: an interconnected standalone within the series, that bridges the development of one key character revealed in the epilogue of its predecessor, The Horns of Grief. The book is a story of anger, guilt, misunderstanding and grief, and although I never intended to write this book, it’s become one of the best things I’ve ever written.

PROJECT PIGGIE
PROJECT PIGGIE
This is the second book in the Grimdark Fairytales mini-series, set in the same world as Gold, Lock and Key, although not directly linked. From the project title and the imagery used thus-far, I can reveal that this second story will focus on a retelling of The Three Little Pigs, and will include a class struggle between oppressive business barons and a warehouse worker ready to blow it all down…

PROJECT HOMELAND
PROJECT HOMELAND
This is the working title for Book 3 in The Blood and Steel Saga, taking place roughly two weeks after the events of The Horns of Grief. The book has undergone extensive planning - far more than any other book I’ve ever written - and current estimates put the page count between 900-1100 pages long. It looks to be the biggest and bloodiest of the series yet, and despite starting the book in January 2024, we will likely not see the finished project until the end of the following year.
