ARTISTS & ILLUSTRATORS

Diego Spezzoni

Artist and illustrator for the Blood and Steel Saga

“I found Diego on social media while searching through hashtags, looking for a fair-priced illustrator for my debut novel, The Fangs of War. I sent Diego an inquiry about creating a ‘snake-like image’, expecting him to produce the single illustration - only for him to then offer to do the full cover, text design and additional illustration on the back cover as well. His work is magnificent, and I seriously lucked out in finding him.”

Liam Fraser

Artist and illustrator for the Prophets Trilogy

“I stumbled upon Liam while searching for abstract vector art online, trying to find someone with the right portfolio for an entirely different project to my first. Looking through his various projects and website, I inquired about him doing my first cover for The Crescent Moon - he graciously accepted, and was very patient when I sent him a terrible initial sketch that had to be edited multiple times. I’m glad he had his head screwed on!”

Gustavo Moraes Chapeu

Artist and illustrator for the Grimdark Fairytales

“After writing Gold, Lock and Key, I sent out a Twitter post inquiring whether someone could do a grimdark eBook cover for me for a reasonable price, hoping to attract some attention. I had a number of budding artists contact me - as well as a healthy dose of spam accounts - but something about Gustavo’s work really shone through to me, so I sent him my inquiry. And, three days later, my first grimdark fairytale had its cover - and I knew instantly that Gustavo was the artist for me.”

Jog Brogzin

Artist and cartographer for the Blood and Steel Saga

“I found Jog much in the same way as I found my other illustrator for the series: that is, by complete accident scrolling through hashtags. At the time, Jog had completed several massive fantasy maps used for D&D communities, so I inquired about whether he’d be willing to do a map for a debut fantasy novel. He responded enthusiastically, and was incredibly thorough in his design: I had a 45 minute conference call with him discussing elements of the map and some of his own flourishes, and the end product had me gobsmacked. He is, in many ways, a true Irish gent!”
